I recently upgraded from QuickBooks Regular 2003 to 2004 Pro. I have beenusing QuickBooks over a year now and it has basically taught me all Icurrently know (and need to know) about accounting. It wasn't to painfuland I had no previous accounting experience. Now with a mouseclick I cansee what I owe and what people owe me, there's even a pretty graphtracking expense versus income! What more could you want?
Well, QB Pro 2004, like the rest of the series is very easy to use, theflow through the program is very logical and it has an intuitive GUI thatis clean and clear, as an added bonus you can customise it too!Specifically QB Pro 2004 has the ability to manage multi-currency, whichis really useful (if you trade in different currencies) However it isslightly limited; it is very hard to enter historical transactions forexample.
I have had no major problems (which weren't my fault!) Things sometimes gowrong with the program, as things do with all programs but Intuit havesmartly included features that allow you to recover quickly (you canrebuild your data at the click of a button and a .bat file resets allprogram options) In addition the program and data are seperate, so if afile has issues you can still load the program and try and sort it, I knowthat with Sage the two are combined which can cause a real headache.
This is an excellent product that is well supported and easy to update,versatile and will save you a lot of hassle. I hope you like it as much asI do.;
