I bought this Item from and Independant seller. THe description online was exactly the same as the item when it arrived; Factoroy wrapping, never been opened, great condition. The price, about 3.49, was an AMAZING price for a cd created in 2003. The shipping price was also totally amazing. Im so happy with this product. I listen to this CD Everyday. THankyou so much Mark! Every track on this stellar album emotionally resonates with the listener, not only from a lyric standpoint, but the low key , atmospheric production serves as a showcase for her immaculate phrasing and expressive lyrics produce the best solo album of her phenomenally successful career.;

I've been listening to this CD every day for the last month and every time I hear it I love it more. With the exception of the excellent "A Thousand Beautiful Things" which is more hopeful at the end, these songs are all about heartache, dissapointment in people including yourself, not finding your "comfort zone" and facing the realization that maybe you're not supposed to have one. Annie Lennox is one of the BEST SINGERS ever and she puts so much UMPPHH into every note, you feel everything she's singing about here and you know that she's not faking it. She's been where she's singing about and so have you! But the sound of her voice and the musical arrangments make it easier to go down that painful road and instead of being really depressed at the end, you're proud of your self for getting through it all, just like she is. For instance the venom in lyrics of "Bitter Pill" are palpable - "Bitter pill to swallow, how it makes me choke..." and "how the hell am I gonna find happiness and piece of mind, when I'm losing all the time..." - and we've all felt it but instead of wallowing and whining in it this song makes you tap your feet and feel like dancing while you're complaining because it rocks. And at the end you say yeah I made it through that sh--, I can make it through anything - Bring it on! I swear this cd is inspirational in a weird way! :)
There may be other women out there that can hit the notes or have a broader vocal range (and you know who they are), but they ain't got the SOUL that Ms. Lennox has. She sings from her heart and her gut and her life and you can feel it all on this cd! Buy it!!!!;
