Because they are pro's in their field. If you hire an outside bookkeeper or accountant, you will find that most of them use QuickBooks. The complaints that I am reading are from business owners who truly believe that buying a piece of software is going to educate them and they will (poof) become good accountants or bookkeepers !!
The ability to use a piece of software DOES NOT make you a bookkeeper or accountant, that is only achieved with education OR good on-the-job training and experience !!

I haven't had any significant problems with the software and it realitivly simple to use, but the tax table update subscribtion is $199.00 per year!;
